Transforming Student Success: How SUNY Broome Community College is Revitalizing Enrollment and Retention

To address the challenges of declining enrollment while helping provide educational access to the community, colleges must adopt innovative strategies that prioritize student success and retention. But it is not always an easy process in today’s dynamic higher education landscape.

This session explored how SUNY Broome leveraged data, change management, and strategic alignment to eliminate barriers to enrollment and completion. Dr. Kelly and Dr. McLain shared valuable insights into the importance of data-informed decision-making, change management strategies, and specific practices for aligning institutional objectives for enrollment and retention success.
