Dr. Angela Baldasare

Angela is an experienced researcher, analyst, and consultant with a demonstrated history of success in data strategy and change management, helping organizations of all kinds effectively use data to inform strategy and achieve measurable outcomes. Angela’s work as a strategic consultant at Civitas Learning is informed most recently by her 8 years at the University of Arizona (UA). From 2014-2018 Angela served as the assistant provost for institutional research, managing the merger of UA’s institutional research and business intelligence units, and leading UA’s use of Civitas Learning products to support student success. From 2010-2014, served UA as the director of assessment and research for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management. Angela earned her PhD in sociology from UA and was an assistant professor at the University of Dayton from 2000-2003. Angela then spent 10 years consulting on international public health and justice projects, as well as statewide community and tribal initiatives for multiple branches of the Arizona Governor’s Office, U.S. Health and Human Services, and the U.S. Department of Justice.


 

Dr. Gerardo E. de los Santos

Dr. Gerardo E. de lost Santos is a Senior Fellow for Civitas Learning. Prior to joining Civitas, De los Santos served The League for Innovation in the Community College for nearly 17 years, presiding for over a decade as President and CEO. The League is an international organization dedicated to catalyzing the community college movement. De los Santos is a sought-after speaker in higher education and has authored and co-authored over 50 publications, most recently including The Key Trends in Community Colleges Report. He is the recipient of numerous awards including the prestigious 2015 ETS O’Banion Prize in Education for his significant contributions to teaching and learning, and the 2009 International Leadership Award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development of the University of Texas at Austin. De los Santos earned an AA degree from Mesa Community College in Arizona, a BA from the University of California at Berkeley, a Masters in English from Arizona State University and a PhD in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Rob Robinson

Dr. Rob Robinson is a Senior Principal Partner Strategy Consultant at Civitas Learning where he works with colleges and universities to help them leverage data analytics to further their mission of student success. Prior to coming to Civitas Learning, Rob was a Principal Strategist at Blackboard, a position in which he provided strategic consulting services to higher education clients in the US and abroad. Between 2010 and early 2012, Rob served as Assistant Vice Provost for Educational Technology at the University of Texas at San Antonio where he led online and hybrid course development and supported faculty and staff across the institution. From 1999 until 2010, Rob was a key leader with the University of Texas TeleCampus, a large-scale, System-wide organization supporting fully online degree programs, many of which were inter-institutional collaborative programs. Rob holds a B.S. and a Ph.D. from UT Austin and an MBA from St. Edward’s University. His areas of expertise include: Online Education, Analytics Maturity Assessments, Resource Allocation, and Public Speaking.

Eric joined Civitas Learning initially as our Research Director and since has become a Senior Principal Partner Strategy Consultant. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Dr. Eric J. McIntosh split his childhood years between Alberta and his mother’s birthplace of Minnesota. A dual citizen of the United States and Canada, Eric graduated from high school in Calgary, Alberta and later chose to pursue university studies in the United States. With a professional background in student affairs, Eric has worked for four different institutions of varying types (public and independent) and sizes (small liberal arts and large comprehensive research) in multiple areas of student affairs. An active researcher, Eric’s research interests include access issues in higher education, spirituality in higher education, transfer student integration, student thriving, and student success. Since 2007, Eric has been extensively involved in research on student thriving; a research initiative of the Doctoral Programs in Higher Education at Azusa Pacific University (http://www.thrivingincollege.org). He earned his B.A. in English from Bethel University, his M.A. in Higher Education from Geneva College, and his Ph.D.in Higher Education from Azusa Pacific University.
