AUSTIN, TX (October 30, 2018) — Civitas Learning announced today that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Education Competency status. This designation recognizes that Civitas Learning provides solutions to—and has deep experience working with—higher education customers to deliver mission-critical workloads and applications on AWS.
Achieving the AWS Education Competency differentiates Civitas Learning as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member that possesses deep domain expertise and has developed innovative technology solutions that leverage AWS services. To receive the designation, partners must also demonstrate deep AWS expertise and deliver solutions seamlessly using AWS.

“Civitas Learning is proud to be an APN member and to achieve AWS Education Competency status,” said April Downing, Civitas Learning Chief Operating Officer. “Our entire team is dedicated to helping higher ed make the most of the world’s learning data to measurably improve student access, success, and completion. We’re using machine learning and engaging software solutions to help more colleges and universities improve student outcomes at scale by leveraging the agility, breadth of services, and pace of innovation that AWS provides.”

AWS is enabling scalable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify Technology APN Partners with proven industry experience and outcomes.

Civitas Learning works with universities and colleges dedicated to helping more students learn well and finish strong. The student success company provides educators with solutions and supporting services that make the most of their diverse and disconnected data streams; personalize information and support for their students; and deepen understanding of the impact of their student success initiatives. As a result, higher ed leaders, advisors, and faculty across the country are measurably improving enrollment, persistence, and graduation outcomes.

Civitas Learning, together with AWS, will host a panel discussion on privacy and security at EDUCAUSE 2018, titled What Higher Ed Needs to Know About Managing Student Data Risk with Student Success Technologies.
