5 STEPS TO YOUR FIRST NUDGE
1. Find an Opportunity
Use Illume to find significant differences in persistence rates between a key student group and your base student population. For example, you can use filters to isolate first-time, online, part-time students, high-GPA students…
Use the prediction score filter to find your most at-risk students are and deepen the opportunity to improve outcomes.
2. Establish a Hypothesis
Why do you think these students have lower persistence? How could they benefit from the nudge? What do you believe will happen when these students receive the nudge? Get other teams involved as you think about what you will measure, count or observe as a result of the nudge.
3. Design Your Nudge

4. Take Action
Outreach functionality in Illume Students enables you to send a nudge to your selected student group — from yourself or on behalf of an advisor or other Illume user!
5. Measure Success
