Summit March 2016
We’ve partnered with SXSWedu this year to bring you Summit during their once-yearly gathering of more than 7,000 thought leaders from across the education spectrum. We are excited to bring our partners a refreshing Summit experience that includes general sessions merged with SXSWedu, as well as exclusive partner-only programming. This once-a-year event is where you will learn more about how Civitas Learning partner institutions can turn the DIAL on student success.
SXSWedu is Monday, March 7 – Thursday, March 10. SXSWedu keynoters include Temple Grandin and Jane McGonigal with lots more to follow.

Keynote: How to Think (and Learn) Like a Futurist
Director of Games Research & Development, Institute for the Future
Best known for her work as a pioneering game designer and author of the bestselling books Reality is Broken and SuperBetter, Jane McGonigal, PhD, has also spent the past decade working as a futurist.
In this playful one-hour master class, you’ll learn the three most important techniques of future forecasting, while taking a tour of five of the most surprising potential futures for education in the next decade. The final 15 minutes of this session will be devoted to playing a collaborative future forecasting game that Jane has designed just for the SXSWedu community

In our earlier Partner Talk Shows, leading institutions shared beginning insights and plans for integrating analytics. This session explores the end-to-end student experience, showing how College Scheduler can line up with Degree Map for a comprehensive student advising and registration experience.
